Session: Reduce Overwhelm

*This session involves an inversion technique. Always check in with your healthcare provider as well as your own body before any inversion practice to ensure your safety. If inversion is not safe for you, you can complete this practice laying down flat as well.

The human life is beautiful and complex. We have so many individual experiences, but we are also all living in this world at the same point in time. You may have what feels like a hundred things on your own plate, then you open the news or speak with a neighbor and then feel the weight of the world outside of yourself as well. It can absolutely be overwhelming.

Overwhelm happens when we get out of balance. When we stay too long in a state of taking everything on without allowing ourselves time to recharge.

Your system is not meant to live is this constant “battle mode” the current world seems to ask of us. I am not saying in any way that we need to be calm 100% of the time. I am saying that if you want to have clarity, balance and strength to take on life’s battles, small or big, you need to find ways to nourish, recharge and replenish your own body/mind/soul system.

This session is intended to walk you through a mini vacation for your nervous system. Give yourself a short break, allow your body and mind to relax into the moment, and bring some balance back to your system. It is only from a balanced system that you will gain the mental clarity and strength to take on what life is throwing your way.
